The Eyejot This! bookmarklet feature is a great way to annotate web pages that you send links for friends and colleagues. It's also popular with professionals and now you can use it to post video status messages directly to your favorite social networks like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, to name a few.
Eyejot has teamed up with Ping.fm to offer this great functionality. So, let's be clear right up front. You'll need a Ping.fm account to take advantage of this great feature. If you don't have one, visit their site right now. We'll wait.
Presumably you have acquired your Ping.fm account and are ready to integrate it with Eyejot.
Did you already setup some social networks at the Ping.fm site that you'd like to post to?
No? Ok - head back over there and setup Ping.fm to send posts to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn
or any of your favorite social networks. You'll discover they support a whole bunch.

The image above shows the Ping.fm site with several networks selected (A) out of an impressive list of supported sites (B). Let's get going by visiting a web site using your browser and then clicking on the Eyejot This! button in your toolbar which you previously installed using these instructions.
You will notice that the Eyejot This! interface has two tabs. One is labeled email and can be
used to address an Eyejot This! message to one or more recipients using email. the second
one is labeled social networks and will be used to configure Ping.fm with Eyejot and, then,
send posts to your social networks.

Click on the link Get application key near the 1 to visit Ping.fm and
copy your application key. Once you have it you'll paste it into the field near the 2.

Most of the time simply clicking on the application key on the Ping.fm site will copy
the long identifier to your clipboard. Now go back to your Eyejot This! window (possibly in
another tab if your browser supports that feature) and paste in the application key
into the appropriate field on the Social Networks tab and then press the Set
button. Eyejot This! will remember these settings until you clear them. So, don't do this
on a public computer at a trade show, your library or a computer that's not your own.

At this point Eyejot This! has been linked to your Ping.fm account and can be used to post
video status messages to any of the networks you've setup.
