EYEJOT EXPRESS SETUP

Help :: Host mode

Eyejot offers a widget (tiny, embeddable application) that you can place inside of your web pages, blogs and social networking sites, like MySpace. You can activate this widget by clicking on the Services tab in the top navigation space on the Eyejot site and then selecting the Site Widget tab.

Press the Highlight button or manually select and copy all of the HTML code that you see using your mouse. On a Windows PC you can copy the HTML code into your clipboard by pressing Ctrl-C. On a Mac it's the Apple+C button.

Now, copy this code onto whatever page you want it to appear. If you're a MySpace user you can edit your profile and paste the HTML code directly into the About Me section. One a Windows PC you can paste the HTML code by positioning your mouse cursor where you want and then pressing Ctrl-P. On a Mac it's Apple+P.

Recording a greeting video

Once you've placed your widget on a web page, blog or social site you'll want to make sure the first thing people see when they reach those pages is your video greeting. To record one, click on the Profile tab in the top navigation area and then select Profile Video. Press the Record New Profile Video button to begin. A new dialog window will appear. Press Record to record your video and Stop when you're done, followed by Save Changes.

You can change your video greeting at anytime and visitors viewing your site widget will see it automatically. No need to go back and change the HTML code that you originally pasted.

Host mode

Once you've copied the widget HTML code to your MySpace, blog or regular web page you can try it out by simply visiting that page. If you've recorded your greeting video as described above it will begin playing as soon as you click on the Play button. Visitors will be able to respond to you by simply clicking the Reply button.
